Clansmen Motel is located in a lovely, quiet, pastoral setting on a hill
overlooking the village of Richards Landing on beautiful St.
Joseph Island. Each of the spotlessly clean and comfortable
units features a remotely controlled colour cable TV, individually
controlled electric heat, four piece bath, housekeeping facilities that
include a stove, fridge, microwave oven, coffee maker with complimentary
coffee, toaster and all necessary utensils. For our winter guests,
there are car plug ins available with each unit.
Each of our six units is named after a Scottish or Irish Clan. We also offer barbeque and VCR rentals, a selection of rent - free video movies, freezer storage for fish, fax and copy service. All of our units have back doors opening onto a well groomed lawn area with comfortable patio furniture and picnic table for your use and enjoyment. Two regulation size horseshoe pits for the use of our guests are located on the grounds in front of the century old stone residence which houses the motel office. This large, two story home was built by the first settler, Mr. Charles Young, a stone mason and the great grandfather of one of the current owners.
